Any truths in the Da Vinci Code?

Yes there are. . . Two of them in fact. . .

1) Paris is in France & 2) Da Vinci did a lot of paintings

At least once a week I receive questions about the Da Vinci Code. Yes, I did read the book and see the movie and it was laughable at best.

First and foremost we need to remember that it is a FICTIONAL STORY! and the supposed 'scholarship' behind the way the Catholic Church is portrayed is absolutely ridiculous. Anyone who says that this movie deters them from the Church is just LOOKING FOR AN EXCUSE. It is horrible movie, horrible story, utterly ridiculous.

In the future I plan on writing a series on the Da Vinci Code as well as other Hollywood distortions and outright blasphemies in portraying the Catholic Faith.
